At each new exhibition, children accompanied by their parents are given a tour and a booklet adapted to their age.

Visitors’ booklets

There are two visit books, one with pictures for children aged 2 to 6 and the other for older children aged 7 to 11.
Through games, riddles, and explanations of the artists’ approach, they allow you to actively discover the exhibition.

Artistic practice workshops

Workshops of artistic practices related to the current exhibition are regularly proposed.

Since its reopening, the contemporary art centre has been offering a programme to raise awareness of contemporary art in partnership with the department’s schools (from kindergarten to higher education, but also with the IME-type framing structures). It takes the form of visits to exhibitions followed by arts workshops.

By inviting children and teenagers to enter the art centre, this awareness programme aims to familiarise them with the forms, devices and vocabulary specific to contemporary art in a principle of exchange and dialogue.

In addition, since 2014, the art centre’s team has been designing and offering weekly art workshops for primary schools in Embrun. These complementary awareness-raising actions are part of the programme of new extra-curricular activities.

Guided tours

The team of the art centre offers guided tours to schoolchildren from kindergarten to higher education students.
Visits are possible all week long (outside public opening hours) by appointment.
If you are a teacher and would like to receive a file detailing the educational content of the exhibitions, please contact us by email or telephone.

Artistic practice workshops

Workshops on artistic practices that focus on the visual issues of the exhibition can be proposed at the end of the visits.
