Le Jardin
Saint-André-d’Embrun

The garden is an orchard that welcomes new works every year. Located in Saint-André-d’Embrun, with a breathtaking view of Lake Serre-Ponçon, it is open to the public throughout the year depending on the events initiated by its owners, Sylvie Saint-Maxent and Dominique Blanc, and/or by Les Capucins.

The works presented were all produced for exhibitions proposed by the contemporary art centre. Too imposing to be recuperated by the artists, they have been given a new lease of life by this new exhibition format. Sometimes this displacement incites the visual artists to completely rethink the initial work for a totally different version, in-situ this time; following the example of Kristina Solomoukha and Paolo Codeluppi who conceived an original piece Le pont from the bamboos used for the exhibition Parade du OUI et du NON & cinéma en pièces détachées.

For the past two years, the garden has brought together works by Roxane Borujerdi, Cécile Bouffard, Angélique Buisson, Ernesto Sartori, Kristina Solomoukha & Paolo Codeluppi and Céline Vaché-Olivieri.
